the power of colour
Over 90 percent of the information we process about the world is visual, and much of that information is perceived by our eyes in the form of colour.
Colour is nature's signifier. Serving both as an alarm bell and lure, and shaping our spatial awareness by enabling us, among other things, to judge distance, providing a key means of orientation. Equally important, is its psychological role which is overlaid by cultural meanings and associations. Without colour, we lose the ability to make critical distinctions about the nature of our surroundings.
Colour has the ability to make us feel, it can arouse and repel, energise and sedate.
